JOB TITLE – PRODUCT MANAGER

Overview of Responsibility

Reporting directly to the President this newly created position will have responsibility spanning quality management and product compliance, new product development, and technical sales support to all sales managers across all Company product lines (Leaf Tea, Decaffeinated tea, Fruit and Herbal tea, Tea and Botanical extracts, and Botanical Powders)

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

 Maintain all product related documentation
 Review current product related paperwork and implement changes as necessary
 Stay informed of all changes to US food safety legislation and take action where applicable  Liaise with German parent companies for all product quality related matters
 Interact with customer base for all quality related issues
 Visit customers with sales managers to provide technical support as required
 Manage communication with government authorities as required (USDA/CBP/FDA etc)
 Develop new flavors and blends for sales team as required
 Provide technical support to sales managers as required
 Manage relationships with all outside testing labs in addition to MB owned lab (Phytolab)
 Manage budget for all in house analytical equipment as well as external analyses.

Education and Experience

•  College degree required

•  5 to 10yrs experience in quality management/technical sales/product development roles -

  (food and beverage)

•  Technical background preferred but not essential

•  Highly proficient in Microsoft Office software – in particular Excel.
